This week and every 4th Wednesday on ALS2WA we do it “For the Culture.” We always hear the saying: “It’s not what you are called but it’s what you answer to.” But we beg to differ. It’s both! We’re taking an honest look at what we call ourselves and, more importantly, the names we’re given and the names we give children. Names hold so much weight. They carry on traditions, they set legacies, and they identify you. We’re discussing traditional naming conventions, the meanings and origins of names, changing your name, maiden and married names, naming children, and more! So, grab your glasses my people and join us on the couch as we discuss what’s in a name.
