Is it our responsibility as black people to carry the entire culture and everyone in it on our backs every time we walk outside, go to the grocery store, etc.? From the Will Smith and Chris Rock slap heard around the nation, to any other mishaps and altercations that happen among black people, the entire black community -- all 45.6 Million black Americans -- are held accountable and responsible. We have both experienced traumatic experiences throughout our lives, including sexual assault.
